Currently, the employment rate of OKU is about 5% in general, whereas 96% for able body employee. So, the employment rate of disabled persons is less 20 times than able body employee. Therefore, there is a need to increase employment rate for people with disabilities to enable them to be financially independent and living with dignity in the community.

Beautiful Gate Foundation will be having a Mini OKU Job Fair on 27 Feb. We hope to see more OKU to come out for interview or to gather related information, and more companies to participate in our job fair by taking up free booth and offer job opportunities for disabled.

This Mini Job fair serves as the platform for people with disabilities who are keen to contribute to the Malaysian workforce economy and for corporate organizations who are excited to expand the diversity of their workplace.

Besides that, we would like to launch the okujobs.com.my portal to make it official so both corporate organizations and OKU individuals are able to gain access and utilize the portal. At the same time, this event also serves as an awareness campaign for other organizations and the public on the job portal’s existence.
