APPRECIATION NIGHT : CELEBRATING MCR’S ACHIEVEMENT
The event was held on 27th May 2016 (Friday) at Royal Lake Club, Kuala Lumpur.
The purpose of this event is to launch a book ‘Maximising Collaborations for Results : Creating Quality Lives Through Empowerment and Possibilities for Persons with Disabilities’ which maps out MCR’s achievements from 1973 to 2016.
MCR also take this opportunity to recognise winners and participants who participated in the 9th International Abilympics held in Bordeaux, France in March 2016 while strengthening the camaraderie with agencies, organisations and individual for had lent their support since its inception.
YB Datuk Hajah Azizah Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Mohd Dun, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development has graced the event and launched the book.
DISABILITY AWARENESS TRAINING
MCR has collaborated with the Ministry of Health to organise the Disability Awareness Training for primer level health personnel. The objective of the training is to provide knowledge on disability awareness and to improve their soft skills while providing services to disabled clients, using the manual developed by MCR and the Ministry of Health (Manual Pelaksanaan Perkhidmatan Kesihatan Mesra Orang Kurang Upaya : Kesedaran Ketidakupayaan)
The first training was organised for North Zone (Perlis, Kedah, Perak and Pulau Pinang) on 1st to 3rd June 2016 at Kolej Jururawat Masyarakat, Kangar, Perlis. The next training will be held at East Coast and Putrajaya.
